Racing has always been a pillar of Daniel Swanbeck’s life, since he was just a boy. DSM emerged out of journey that incorporated all facets of motorsports over a couple of decades. This journey has been a story of perseverance, dedication and pure love for the sport. Daniel began racing karts long before he had a driver’s license and that instilled a passion that would last a lifetime. At the core of motorsports for Daniel was always a foundation built around physics and engineering. Years of hands on experience were elevated with a degree in mechanical design engineering, which led Daniel to working in automotive engineering including multiple secret development performance car programs.

As Daniel’s technical background developed, so did his racing career. Karting built the critical foundation to build from which led to breaking into the open wheel category as part of the F1600 Series. In his first race weekend, Daniel came away with two podiums, one of them being a win on his way to claiming the series championship later that year. This journey continued into F2000 and on to the Pro Mazda Championship as part of the Mazda Road to Indy. After time in the Indy ladder system, Daniel spent time in the IMSA series driving LMP3 Prototypes, gaining experience in the endurance racing world. After driving in some of the highest levels of motorsport, Daniel really came to appreciate the full spectrum of inputs which lead to racing success.

To win in racing, you must not only be fast but also have the best equipment and team around you. DSM strives to offer engineering excellence to develop and design equipment to beat the competition. We also aim to develop drivers through physical performance, driving techniques, race craft and sponsorship/media guidance.
